Shane Baz looks solid against Brewers on Tuesday

by Andersen Pickard | Rays Correspondent | Wed, Jun 29th 9:02am EDT

Rays starter Shane Baz allowed just one run, three hits, and two walks over 5 2/3 innings against the Brewers on Tuesday. He also struck out six batters but did not factor into the final decision. Tampa Bay ultimately fell to Milwaukee by a score of 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Baz is 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and .182 OBA through four starts this season. However, much of his stats are misconstrued due to an anomalous outing during his 2022 debut. Through three starts since then, he has totaled just two earned runs, four walks, and 19 strikeouts over 16 1/3 innings. Tampa Bay's No. 1 prospect, Baz has looked great throwing his fastball this season, touching 100 mph while averaging 2,415 rpm.
