Frankie Montas pitched six innings on Tuesday, striking out seven, walking two, and giving up four hits for two earned runs as he took the loss to the Yankees in a 2-1 game.

Fantasy Impact:

Montas was serviceable yet again Tuesday and may have picked up a win on a better team as there are pitchers with higher ERA's winning more games than Montas such as Tyler Anderson. The A's starting pitcher has an ERA of 3.20 and with the loss now maintains a record of 3-8 on the season. The 29 year old is showing good control this season as he is striking out 25.8% of batters faced while walking just 6.3%. Montas can be rostered and is one of if not the only valuable player in fantasy on the Athletics at the moment, his next game comes against the Mariners on Sunday July 3rd.
