Paolo Espino lasted 4 1/3 innings on the mound for the Nationals Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits while also walking one and striking out four in the Nationals' 8-7 loss to the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Espino has allowed three or more runs in two of four starts this month for the Nationals, striking out 14 and walking six in that span. The 35-year-old offers little value for fantasy managers, being mainly deployed out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP to go along with 34 strikeouts in 24 appearances (four starts) on the mound this season.
