Cole Irvin strikes out five in loss Wednesday night

by Josh Thiessen | Orioles Correspondent | Wed, Jun 29th 11:00pm EDT

Cole Irvin pitched seven innings on Wednesday night, striking out five, walking one, and giving up six hits for five earned runs as he took the loss to the Yankees in a 5-3 game.

Fantasy Impact:

Irvin is not someone who can be rostered due to multiple reasons with the first being that he plays on the worst team in the league. The A's starting pitcher is pitching to the tune of a 3.58 ERA and with the loss Wednesday he now maintains a record of 2-6. The 28 year old is also not striking out many batters with just a 16.5 K%, the A's pitcher should not be started in his next outing which will come against the Blue Jays on July 4th.
