Alek Manoah pitches well in quality start on Wednesday

by Devon Bruce | Blue Jays Correspondent | Wed, Jun 29th 11:31pm EDT

Alek Manoah pitched seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out six during Toronto's loss to Boston on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Manoah did all that he could to get the Blue Jays the win but they eventually took the loss in extra innings. He induced a decent 14 swinging strikes and had a 26 percent CSW on 99 pitches. Manoah has looked slightly more mortal recently, allowing eight earned runs over his last three starts but is still sporting an excellent 9-2 record overall with a 2.09 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 15 starts. He'll next take the mound in a matchup against the Rays on Sunday.
