German Marquez gives up five runs in Wednesday's loss

by Diego Sandoval | Rockies Correspondent | Wed, Jun 29th 11:46pm EDT

German Marquez was handed the loss after allowing five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in 3 1/3 innings of Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Fantasy Impact:

Marquez was not sharp at all on Wednesday, but he was taken out of the game with one of the team's trainers, so his early exit also could've been injury-related. The right-hander has largely disappointed all season, holding a 5.89 ERA and a WHIP of 1.54 through 15 starts this year. He could get back on track heading into the month of July, but he gets a tough draw as he will face the Dodgers again in his next start on Tuesday.
