Jameson Taillon pitched five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six in New York’s 5-3 win against Oakland on Wednesday.

Taillon improves to 9-1 on the year while carrying a 3.32 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 15 starts this season. Taillon finishes June with a 4-0 record in five starts, despite a 4.59 ERA for the month. Taillon struck out 30 batters and walked just six in 33 1/3 innings in June. Taillon will look to reach double digits wins for just the second time in his career in his next start on Tuesday against his former team, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
