by Andersen Pickard | Red Sox Correspondent | Thu, Jun 30th 8:23am EDT

Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo had a fantastic game on Wednesday evening, going 2-for-5 with a two-run double and two-run homer against the Blue Jays. His four RBI propelled Boston to a 6-5 victory over Toronto, though it took 10 innings for Boston to notch the victory and escape being swept.

Fantasy Impact:

Verdugo is slashing .266/.312/.395 with six homers, 43 RBI, 19 walks, and 30 strikeouts this season. After a slower start, the young outfielder tuned things around with an impressive .337/.400/.505 slash line, three homers, 19 RBI, nine walks, and nine strikeouts in the month of June. His discipline has been fantastic all year long, too. Verdugo owns a 10.2 percent strikeout rate (98th percentile) and 14.1 percent whiff rate (96th percentile).
