Luis Severino delivers quality start in loss Thursday

Luis Severino pitched six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out four in New York’s 2-1 loss in Houston on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Severino finishes June with a 1-2 record in five starts with a 3.30 ERA and 0.97 WHIP along with 40 strikeouts across 30 innings. Severino falls to 4-3 with a 3.35 ERA on the year and hasn’t picked up a win since June 4 against Detroit. Severino’s biggest assets are strikeouts and consistency. Seve is up to 91 strikeouts this season in 78 innings and his ERA has been between 3.30 and 3.41 each month. Severino will try and start July off right in his next start on Wednesday against the Pirates.
