Elvis Andrus went 1-for-3 at the plate on Thursday, hitting a solo homer, and walking once as the A's went on to lose to the Mariners in a 8-6 game.
Andrus hit his fourth home run of the season on Thursday and now has 17 RBI as well which both rank as below average in the league. The Athletics' shortstop is batting .229 on the season with an OPS of .648 which are both just below league average. The 33 year old should be better at the plate considering his patience as he is striking out just 14.9% of the time. Andrus can be rostered but barely and is a drop candidate if things continue to get worse.
