Vinnie Pasquantino hits first career home run in win Friday

Vinnie Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Kansas City’s 3-1 victory in Detroit on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Pasquantino homered for the first time in his brief Major League career in an awkward way. It was ruled a home run upon review after he was originally awarded a double. It was a very anticlimactic first home run and first career hit but it counts all the same for the rookie who is now 1-for-9 (.111) in three career big league games. Now that the trade of Carlos Santana has paved the way for Pasquantino’s time in the Majors, he should see plenty of at-bats over the rest of the season. The former 11th round pick has hit consistently at multiple minor league levels and the Royals hope he can become a mainstay at first base.
