Daniel Castano picks up win versus Nationals on Saturday
by Nate Miller | Sat, Jul 2nd 7:37pm EDT
Daniel Castano worked five innings in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Nationals, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out three.
Fantasy Impact:
Castano grabbed his first big-league win of the season Saturday afternoon, as he gave the Fish a third steady outing over four turns through the rotation. Overall in those four starts since joining the Miami rotation, the 27-year-old lefty has posted a 2.86 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 13-to-9 K/BB ratio across 22 innings. Castano qualifies as a matchup-based streaming option for fantasy purposes right now, but he is best avoided for a road matchup with the Mets on Thursday.
