Freddie Freeman hits solo homer in Dodgers win Saturday

by Josh Thiessen | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, Jul 3rd 12:43am EDT

Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 at the plate on Saturday, hitting a solo homer as well as a single, and walking once in the Dodgers' 7-2 win over the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman hit his 10th home run of the year on Saturday as he is beginning to drum up the stats in every category, proving his worth as an easy top five first basemen in the league. The Dodgers first basemen is slashing an elite line of .307/.387/.490 and has started to create more runs with a wRC+ that now sits at 146. The 32 year old should not be traded for any type of package that may be offered as he is an all around threat, including with his legs as he has seven stolen bases on the year.
