Brady Singer fans nine Tigers in no decision Sunday

by Luke Monaldo | Royals Correspondent | Mon, Jul 4th 7:58am EDT

Brady Singer pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out nine in Kansas City’s 7-4 win against Detroit on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Singer racked up nine strikeouts out of the 14-outs he recorded on Sunday. It took Singer 97-pitched to navigate through 4 2/3 innings and he exited 1-out short of qualifying for what would have been his 4th win of the year as he exited with a Kansas City lead. The righty is 3-3 with a 4.30 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings in 12 appearances (9 starts). His ERA is 3.73 in his nine starts but most of the damage came in one poor start June 3 against Houston. In his other eight starts, Singer carries a 2.81 ERA and is 3-2 so he has been a pretty stellar starter outside of one bad outing so as far as Kansas City starters go, he’s the one to own this year. His next start is slated for Friday against the Guardians.
