Carlos Beltran has only pinch-hit once in the past two games. The widespread rumor is that he had a hamstring issue but that he is expected to return Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Carlos Beltran has name value, which is one of the reasons he is owned in roughly a quarter of Yahoo Public leagues. He has been a power threat who wouldn't kill you in batting average for years so he earned that name. However, his production between last season and this one does not live up to his legend. There are leagues where he still has value but in most medium to shallow leagues, it is time to look at the free agent list and honestly evaluate whether there is a better option available.
