Fernando Tatis Jr. beginning hitting progression Friday

Padres GM AJ Preller announced that Fernando Tatis Jr. will begin his hitting progression on Friday as he builds back to returning to the field. (Ben Higgins on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is a huge step for Tatis, as it is one of the first signs of progress in baseball activities. With these new progressions, the 23-year-old could be on track for a return in early August if all goes according to plan. The Padres are going to need his big bat for their postseason run, and the 2021 All-Star should make an immediate impact whenever he does return to the field.
