Fernando Tatis Jr. is taking on-field batting practice on Tuesday for the first time since the wrist surgery that has left him out for the entirety of the 2022 season. (Kevin Acee on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is another great step forward for Tatis, who had done some less demanding on-field work with the team last weekend in New York. The superstar is now on track to possibly participate in live at-bats in the next week or so which would then lead to a rehab assignment. So it looks like the 23-year-old is on track to return to the big league club sometime in August to lead a postseason push and provide some fantasy value to owners that have been patient with him all season.
