John Schreiber blows save against Cleveland on Wednesday

by Andersen Pickard | Royals Correspondent | Wed, Jul 27th 10:30pm EDT

Red Sox reliever John Schreiber allowed one run on two hits over two innings of work against the Guardians on Wednesday evening. The run scored in the eighth inning, tying the game at six apiece. Schreiber was charged with the blown save as Boston ultimately fell to Cleveland by a score of 7-6.

Fantasy Impact:

Although Schreiber has been Boston's best reliever this season, he has amassed five earned runs and two blown saves over his last five outings. He'll likely have the night off for Thursday's series finale before returning to action sometime against Milwaukee. Schreiber's name could generate some trade interest ahead of next Tuesday's deadline.
