Paul Blackburn earns win over Angels on Thursday night

Paul Blackburn pitched five innings on Thursday, striking out three, walking one, and giving up six hits for four earned runs as he earned the win over the Angels in a 8-7 game.

Blackburn picked up his seventh win of the season on Thursday night as he improved to 7-6 on the year. The Athletics' pitcher has had a rather tough time since the All-Star break as he pitches to the tune of an 4.28 ERA with a WHIP of 1.26. The 28 year old is now the best pitcher the team has and he can be rostered as the only starter usable in this lineup, his next start comes against the Angels on August 10th.
