Jose Quintana lasted six innings on the mound for the Cardinals in the second game of a doubleheader Thursday, allowing one run on one hit while also walking two and striking out seven in the Cardinals' 7-2 win over the Cubs.

Quintana has allowed less than four runs in four of his last six starts, posting a 3.63 K/BB ratio in that span. The left-hander will look to solidify a St. Louis rotation that had many questions prior to the trade deadline, posting a 3.39 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 21 starts (3-5) on the mound this season.
