Framber Valdez earns 10th win of season in win vs. Guardians

by Kendall Capps | Astros Correspondent | Sat, Aug 6th 2:49am EDT

Framber Valdez improved to 10-4 Friday as Houston beat Cleveland, 9-3. He tossed 6 1/3 innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and three walks, with three strikeouts.

Fantasy Impact:

It was far from Valdez' best performance of the season. Nevertheless, the Astros lefty earned his 17th consecutive quality start. Yet, you read that right. The last time Valdez did not earn a quality start was April 26th. It's still a far cry from Bob Gibson's MLB record of 26 straight, but it's insane nonetheless. Valdez earned his All-Star nod and will likely be a handful for offenses to deal with the rest of the season.
