Josh Donaldson drives in two runs in loss Friday

Josh Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in New York’s 4-3 loss in St. Louis on Friday.
Fantasy Impact:
Donaldson put New York up 1-0 with a 2-out, RBI double (that was almost a three-run homer) off the wall in the 1st inning before making it 2-0 with an RBI single in the 3rd. Donaldson is 5-for-14 (.357) with two doubles, a home run, and five RBI in four games this month. Donaldson is slashing .223/.303/.388 with 10 home runs, 40 RBI, and 35 runs scored in 309 at-bats this season. Donaldson is not having the offensive season he had hoped for but his defense remains Gold Glove-caliber. Fantasy managers are hoping his small August sample is a sign the “Bringer of Rain” is heating up again.
