Brad Keller logs quality start, fans four in win Sunday

Brad Keller pitched six innings, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four in Kansas City’s 13-5 win against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Keller improves to 6-12 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 80 strikeouts in 119 1/3 innings across 21 starts. Keller is now 6-3 (1.77 ERA) when he logs a quality start and 0-9 (8.44 ERA) when he doesn’t. Keller has also won five of his last nine starts after a 1-8 start and has earned the decision in 14 straight starts dating back to May 21. Keller will look for his seventh win in his next start on Saturday against the Dodgers.
