Jon Berti is scheduled for two more rehab appearances with Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday and Wednesday. Manager Don Mattingly said he believes that the earliest he would return is the next homestand, which begins Friday August 12. (Jordan McPherson on Twitter)
Berti has been out of action since July 15 with a left groin strain. He is slashing .271/.365/.375 with two home runs, 19 RBIs, and 28 stolen bases. Based on his current timeline, fantasy managers should expect the NL leader in stolen bases to be back for this weekend’s series with Atlanta.
