Alex Wood picked up the win after throwing 6 1/3 scoreless innings while allowing three hits and striking out five in Monday's 1-0 win over the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Wood shut down the new and improved San Diego lineup, holding them to just three baserunners in over six innings of work. The veteran had all of his stuff working, and he has shown serious fantasy value at certain points throughout the season. The lefthander will take his 4.17 ERA into his next start against the Pirates.
