Josh Hader blows save allowing three runs Tuesday

by Kendall Capps | Astros Correspondent | Wed, Aug 10th 1:49am EDT

Padres closer Josh Hader had an ugly appearance on Tuesday against the Giants. He blew a three-run lead in the top of the 9th, allowing three runs on a hit and three walks to the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Bob Melvin could not even trust him to get out of the inning after blowing the 4-1 lead. He was lifted for Tim Hill, who recorded the final out. Hill then picked up the win after Manny Machado hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th. Hader's job is not in jeopardy, but Melvin must be shaking his head after he watched his prior closer, Taylor Rogers, go from the best numbers in the game to one of the worst relievers seemingly overnight.
