Manny Machado stays on fire

On Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1. The Orioles failed to sweep the Phillies in what was a low scoring game. The only run came off of a home run in the first inning by Manny Machado.

Fantasy Impact:

Machado has been on fire lately, he had two hits, the home run, and an RBI in Thursday's game. This season he is hitting .289, with 13 home runs, 33 RBI, and 9 stolen bases. While Machado started out very hot and cold, but it seems like he has found his swing. Machado has been leading the resurgence as of late for the Orioles, as they look to bring themselves back into contention in the AL East. While Machado's defense never suffered through his early at bat struggles, he now looks like he is back to being a complete player. He also looks like he is a bonafide all-star and deserves to make the game. Machado can help any team that is looking for a third basemen that can bring power and productivity to a line-up that might be missing it. It'll be interesting to see what Machado will look like as we reach the all-star break.
