Giancarlo Stanton making progress in Achilles rehab

by Jesse Garcia | Yankees Correspondent | Sat, Aug 13th 12:31pm EDT

Giancarlo Stanton worked with a high-velocity pitching machine and moved around in the outfield Friday, according to Yankees manager Aaron Boone. Boone also suggested that Stanton may need a few rehab games before returning to the Yankees. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Stanton has been dealing with left Achilles tendinitis since July 24th and is making some progress in his rehab. The Yankees are definitely being cautious as he is still experiencing some discomfort in his Achilles. With Aaron Boone suggesting that he may need some rehab games and with Stanton not having run the bases yet, his return timeline is in question.
