Manager John Farrell confirmed that Dustin Pedroia is out of the lineup Thursday due to a knee issue, Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston reports. (Gordon Edes on Twitter)

The word is that Dustin Pedroia is experiencing knee pain but it is not serious enough to go on the DL. Expect Pedroia to miss a couple games and hopefully it does not linger as Pedroia has been having a strong fantasy season.
