Triston McKenzie takes hard-luck loss Saturday
by Matthew Adam | Guardians Correspondent | Sat, Aug 13th 7:02pm EDT
Triston McKenzie allowed two runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings of work in a 2-1 loss to Toronto on Saturday. McKenzie struck out three and walked two while taking the loss.
Fantasy Impact:
McKenzie allowed two solo homers but mostly shut down the Blue Jays besides that, although the three strikeouts and eight swinging strikes were both below his norms. The 25-year-old hurler has been excellent for Cleveland in 2022, posting an 8-9 record, 3.14 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 124 strikeouts over 134 2/3 innings of work. His next start will be on Friday against the White Sox.
