Reese McGuire slaps two hits in loss to Yankees
by Andersen Pickard | Red Sox Correspondent | Sat, Aug 13th 11:12pm EDT
Red Sox catcher Reese McGuire went 2-for-3 with a single and double against the Yankees on Saturday evening. He also collected an RBI sac fly in the contest. Boston ultimately fell to New York by a score of 3-2.
Fantasy Impact:
McGuire has looked terrific since joining the Red Sox at the trade deadline. He currently owns a six-game hitting streak (dating back to the trade) and has gone 9-for-18 (.500) with two RBI, one walk, and three strikeouts during that span. He has quickly asserted himself as Boston's clear No. 1 catcher as he offers an upgrade over Kevin Plawecki both offensively and defensively.
