Bryce Elder strikes out 10 in quality start on Sunday

by Devon Bruce | Braves Correspondent | Sun, Aug 14th 6:59pm EDT

Bryce Elder pitched seven innings, allowing an earned run on three hits and three walks while striking out 10 during Atlanta's win over Miami on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

The 10 strikeouts were a career-high for Elder who has generally been pedestrian in his previous starts for the Braves. He generated nine swinging strikes and produced an excellent 33 percent CSW on 104 pitches and could stick with the team for the time being as Kyle Muller has been demoted. Elder has a 1-3 record with a 4.45 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 24 strikeouts over 28 1/3 innings.
