Padres SP Blake Snell had one of his best performances of the season Sunday. He struck out 10 in six shutout innings.
Snell was sharp from the first inning and never relented. After a terrible start to his season, he's been phenomenal since the beginning of July. The 29-year-old lefty has allowed one run or fewer in seven of eight starts, lowering his ERA to 3.66. Snell has 105 K's in just 78 2/3 innings, showing he can still punch batters out. He'll look to keep it going against these Nationals at home next weekend.
