Justin Verlander earns quality start, no-decision vs. White Sox

by Kendall Capps | Astros Correspondent | Wed, Aug 17th 1:38am EDT

In what was billed as one of the best pitching matchups of the season, neither Justin Verlander nor Dylan Cease had their best stuff. Verlander allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk over seven innings in a 4-3 loss.

Fantasy Impact:

The 40-year-old righty has shown that he's still human in his last two starts. He still earned a quality start both instances, but allowing three runs is a big knock on Verlander these days. The Astros righty is 15-3 with a 1.95 ERA. That's just absurd. He will look for win 16 next time out against the Twins next week.
