Nicky Lopez is not in the Royals’ starting lineup for their series finale in Minnesota on Wednesday afternoon.
Fantasy Impact:
Lopez will get Wednesday’s game off for rest after starting 14 of 16 games so far in August. Lopez has hit safely in 10 of those 14 games and is 12-for-45 (.267) during that span. However, Lopez has just two RBI (both on August 11) since July 15 and zero extra-base hits since a triple on July 24. Maikel Garcia will start at shortstop and bat 9th for Lopez against the Twins on Wednesday afternoon.
