Jeff Samardzija with an effective outing Thursday

Samardzija went seven innings allowing two runs. He gave up 10 base runners (all hits) while striking out seven. The White Sox only scored two runs so Samardzija ended up with a no-decision.
Fantasy Impact:
This was a strong effort for Samardzija, although the hits are not a great sign. He is not a shallow league type player given his erratic stat lines but his strikeouts and the half of the starts that are productive make him useful in medium leagues.
