Daniel Lynch pitched six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out two in Kansas City’s 4-0 loss in Minnesota on Wednesday.
Lynch suffered his first loss since June 22 and is 1-1 in August with a 2.82 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings across four starts. Lynch is on pace for his best month, ERA-wise, since April when he was 2-1 and carried a 3.38 ERA across three starts. Lynch falls to 4-8 on the season with a 4.52 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 91 strikeouts in 93 2/3 innings across 19 starts. Lynch will try again for his fifth win of the year in his next start on Monday against the visiting White Sox.
