Josh Winckowski roughed up in loss to Pirates

Red Sox starter Josh Winckowski pitched on Thursday evening in place of Nathan Eovaldi, who was scratched due to soreness. Winckowski allowed six runs, seven hits, and one walk over five innings of work. He struck out two batters, surrendered two homers, and was charged with the loss as Boston fell to Pittsburgh by a score of 8-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Winckowski drops to 5-6 with a 5.19 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and .290 OBA through 12 starts this season. He has also racked up a poor 5.34 K/9 and 3.12 BB/9. The rookie should be left on fantasy waivers.
