Frankie Montas pitched six innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out two in New York’s 9-2 loss to the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Montas gave six runs for the second in three starts since being acquired by the Yankees at the trade deadline. He is now 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, and eight strikeouts in 14 innings in New York. Opponents are also hitting a robust .310 against Montas since joining the Yankees. Fantasy managers have to wonder where the solid pitcher they had in Oakland went and Yankees fans have to wonder why their team traded for this guy. Montas falls to 4-10 with a 3.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 117 strikeouts in 118 1/3 innings on the year. Montas will look to get back on track in his next start on Tuesday against the Mets.
