Ryan Howard homers in loss to Cardinals

by Kerry Kauffman | Fri, Jun 19th 11:07pm EDT

The Phillies pounded out 11 hits, but lost to the Cardinals on Friday, 12-4. Ryan Howard provided the bulk of the offense with a three-run home run. He finished the game 1-for-4 with a walk. Howard is now batting .236 for the season.

Fantasy Impact:

A streaky hitter, Howard has now homered in each of the past two games. He has 13 home runs and 33 RBI on the season, while posting an OPS of .749. Howard's still a viable power option at first base, but don't expect much in any other statistical category.
