Evan Longoria went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Longoria's 12th homer of the season in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in Tuesday's victory. The veteran is beginning to put together a solid season thanks to a huge month of August in terms of production. This month, the third baseman is slashing .353/.395/.706 with three homers in 34 at-bats. If these numbers continue, he should continue to see everyday playing time in San Fran.
