Josiah Gray will skip next turn in the rotation

by Jesse Garcia | Nationals Correspondent | Wed, Aug 24th 5:51pm EDT

Josiah Gray will skip his next turn in the rotation as the Nationals focus on managing his innings down the stretch. Manager Dave Martinez expects him to not make every turn between now and the end of the season. (Jesse Dougherty on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Gray has a 4.67 ERA, .232 OBA, and a 10.22 K/9 ratio in 23 starts this season. He has thrown 123 1/3 innings this season which is approaching his career high of 130 innings in 2019 in the minor leagues. While this is not good news for fantasy managers relying on him this season, he should still be a solid option when he does take the mound.
