Brett Anderson allowed one earned run on five hits Sunday night against the rival Giants in six innings. He walked two and struck out one. 50-of-85 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
Anderson is basically the National League Mark Buehrle. They are both soft-tossing lefties that rely on control and keeping opposing batters off-balance. Their stats are very similar. Anderson: 3.29 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts in 82 innings. Buehrle: 3.90 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts in 92.1 innings. They are both serviceable fantasy options as long as you know what you are buying.
