Will Smith homers for second straight game against the Padres

by Josh Thiessen | Dodgers Correspondent | Mon, Sep 5th 10:29am EDT

Will Smith went 1-for-3 at the plate on Sunday, hitting a solo homer, and walking twice as the Dodgers went on to beat the Padres in a 9-4 game.

Fantasy Impact:

Smith hit a homer for his second straight game Sunday bringing his total to 21 on the season and ranking him a close second behind just Willson Contreras for catchers in said category. The Dodgers' catcher has been a phenomenal bat for the team despite his position, which usually ranks as the worst offensive position in baseball, his bat is good enough he has been batting cleanup for the team. The 27-year-old should not be traded as he plays nearly every game and is currently in the middle of the lineup of baseballs best offense.
