J.P. Crawford went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one walk Monday against the White Sox.
Less than a day after driving in the go-ahead run Sunday night against the Guardians in the 11th inning, Crawford had a chance to come up clutch again in the ninth inning on Monday. It had seemed like he did just that, dropping a ball in shallow right field with two on and two out down 3-1, but Sam Haggerty was held up at third base (even though it seemed like he would have scored). This made it 3-2 with two on and two outs when Adam Frazier struck out on three pitches for the final out of the game. The Mariners only had one run on four hits through eight innings after a long night where they arrived in Seattle just 12 hours before the start of the game.
