Sean Manaea pitches well in loss to D'Backs Thursday

Padres SP Sean Manaea got the start on Thursday, drawing a favorable matchup against Arizona. He pitched well, allowing just two runs on three hits in five innings. It was not enough though as the Padres fell 4-0.

Fantasy Impact:

Manaea had looked to have dropped out of the Padres rotation after a horrid second half, but Bob Melvin gave him another crack. He did not disappoint, but the Padres offense failed to show up against D'Backs rookie Drey Jameson, who was making his major league debut. Jameson tossed seven shutout innings against San Diego. Manaea's next scheduled start will not be as easy, as he will face the St. Louis Cardinals.
