Jonathon Niese let down by the bullpen

by James McGowan | Tue, Jun 23rd 11:28pm EDT

The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 on Tuesday night. Niece went six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, while walking three, and striking out three.

Fantasy Impact:

It has been a tough season for Niese, who has been let down on multiple occasions by the offense and his own pitching mix. This season Niese is 3-7, with a 4.21 ERA in 77 innings pitched, and he has 55 strikeouts. Niese has had a rough year and it really hasn't looked to good for him, he struggles keeping leads and allowing runs early in games. And his pitching mix seems to get hit around easily, and can't seem to get out of jams. In any respect he is struggling mightily, and it is time to drop him and find a new replacement. It'll be interesting to see what the Mets will do with Niese and if he will find his groove.
