Matt Manning allowed five runs (three earned) over 5 1/3 innings in an 8-1 loss to Baltimore on Wednesday. Manning took the loss while striking out four and walking five.

Manning struggled with his control in this one as his five walks were a season high. He managed to pick up 10 swinging strikes on 102 pitches. Manning now has a 2-3 record, 3.43 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 48 strikeouts on the year. He is scheduled to face the Royals on Wednesday for his next start.
