With the Twins’ hope to make the postseason almost gone, the Twins and Buxton have opted to go ahead with the knee surgery. It is said to be minor and just a cleanup which should have Buxton ready for spring training. The 28-year-old slashed .224/.306/.526 with 28 home runs and 51 runs batted in over 92 games this season.
