Nick Markakis' record errorless streak ends

by Kyle Borgognoni | Thu, Jun 25th 7:19pm EDT

Markakis had gone 398 consecutive game played without committing an error. His misplay on a Denard Span single in the first inning allowed Span to take second and eventually score. Markakis established the all-time MLB record for consecutive errorless games by a non-pitcher on June 18 -- breaking the previous mark of 392, set by Darren Lewis from 1990 to 1994. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Markakis was 0-for-4 at the plate in a dreadful afternoon of baseball. His defensive consistency however has not brought anything of relevance to the fantasy world as he remains homerless.
